Series 90 100cc – Sundstrand Sauer Danfoss Improved the Adjustable Charge Relief Valve

Posted by Tammy Soper on

They are putting an outward flexible charge relief valve on the Series 90 fixed displacement motors. The other models had a shimmed relief valve. On the newer models have a higher range of flexibility to go from 10 -32 bars.

The loop flushing shuttle spools diameter can go from .25″ to .375″. It will be not interchangeable. You can’t put the flexible valve onto a motor on the previous models. And the older end caps that has the housing for the charge relief and loop flushing valves, they want be used as service parts either.

If you need a newer end cap, then you will need the newer charge relief valve and the other parts too to make it work.

And the new relief plug does stick out a bit from the end cap, .63″, much more than the older way of shimming it. Below are the new measurements for each of the frame sizes.
