Today we will discuss:
Hydraulic Regenerative Circuit – Cylinder Extending
The regenerative circuit has a pump, relief valve, a directional valve that has a blocked port and a 2:1 cylinder. In addition to, the directional valve in the position, both sides of the cylinder piston have the same amount of pressure.
Being unstable causes the rod to extend. Fluid discharges from the rod end is added to the pump’s flow. And in a 2:1 cylinder the discharge fluid from the rod end is half the volume entering the cap end. The only volume that is filled by the pump flow is the other half of the cap end volume. To find out the rod speed of a 2:1 cylinder when it is regenerating the cross sectional area of the rod is used in the calculations.
