Redistributing The Ball & Roller Chain Bearings

Recirculating Ball & Roller Chain Bearings

There are tree types of recirculating roller chain bearings. They have a solid bearing race and an endless chain assembly of rollers, which are concave to fit on the ground shaft or ways.

The units are adhered to the carriage or other component in tandem. As the carriage or tool slide moves, the bearing races roll on the concave rollers,  which are connected to the shaft or way.

These units are furnished in single mounting or V mounting styles. The single mounting type has the least amount of resistance to side loads and therefore, is usually used in combination with the V mounted style.
