Suffix for Precision Bearings

A bearing clearance is the amount a bearing ring moves in relation to the other under a give small measuring load in a radial direction or in an axial direction. For radial bearings, the radial clearance is of primary importance. The radial clearance in ball bearings should be close to zero when the bearing has been mounted and has reached its temperature equilibrium. A small preload usually has not lasting effects. Roller bearings, which deflect less under load than do a ball bearings, a certain small internal clearance  should be left in order that the bearing will not develop too...

Figuring Gear Pumps

Posted by Tammy Soper on

When you putting in another pump or motor, make sure you know all the major changes are accounted for. You will need to know the right system pressure, rpm range, direction of the rotation, shaft size/type, ports size/type and what kind of mount. If you don’t know the correct rotation of your pump, it will damage your pump. Also, if you try to make these pumps do more than they are capable of, the life of the pump will be diminished. The inlet pump temperature doesn’t need to go over 225 F. The pump inlet vacuum doesn’t need to go...

These valves on the 300 Series have built in relief valves and the shim is adjustable, built in load check, an interchangeable hardened relief valve and built in load check. This valve is made to operate as a single acting cylinder or a uni directional hydraulic motor. The spool is a 3 way and 3 position spool. The 3 positions are power, exhaust and neutral. The “B” port is the power port and “A” port is plugged. It is spring centered to neutral position, that has a work port that is blocked in neutral. This valve is only usable in...
