Sundstrand Series 90 Swashplate Leveler Spirng Seat Change
Posted by Tammy Soper on
Some changes are the seats, they were peened to the leveler. Now they are adding hardened shims to go in between the swashplate leveler springs and the endcap. They are also have hardened the leveler spring seats and they are detached pieces.
Repairing the units will be a bit different. You will have put in the shims into the pockets in the end cap and add grease. And when you put in the lever springs, you will have to make to do the swashplate leveler so the spring sets down in there right.
The servo pressure check relief valves are put in the pump end cap are not needed anymore. The replacement for these is a regular socket head straight thread oring plug.
The swashplate leveler and spring seats can be interchanged with older parts. When you do repairs make sure you use the hardened shims and put it in between the leveler springs and the end cap. You can interchange plugs also and with the servo pressure check relief valves.
