Coding and Name Plate ID
Name Plate
Each pump and motor has a name plate mounted on the housing. The name plate has a lot of vital information that you need to give to your dealer.
Model ID Number
The model number is issued by the factory when it was manufactured. On repeat orders, a complete unit can be ordered by model number. The model number is referenced by the Model Code (Nomenclature) for the unit.
Model Code
The model code tells the specific unit and must have in order to order parts or the whole unit itself and for servicing the unit.
Note: earlier models of Series 40 M46 don’t have model codes on name plate.
Serial Number
The serial number is tell the assembly location, build date and unit sequence in the build. It is also used to ID the units warranty time period and it is a MUST have to order parts.
The first four digits indicate the Build Date Code. The first number (2 digits) indicates the year it was manufactured. The 2nd set of number (2 digits) tells the calendar week of manufacture. The last 5 digits tells how to identify a specific unit.
Note: earlier models have a 2 digit dash number.
Bar Coding – Tag
A Universal Bar Code, tells the ID Number and Serial Number on later production models so the bar code can be read electronically.
