Sundstrand Sauer Danfoss Series 20 General ID & Parts Kits

Model Number

The model number aids in ordering parts when they are needed. The first two digits are the “series” of the model.

The next digits are as follows:

2 = variable displacement pump

3 = fixed displacement motor

4 = variable displacement motor

Non standard models will have non standard numbers also.

Serial Number

The serial number helps with knowing the

configuration

build date

unit sequence in the build

The first two digits tell the dash number and to tell a certain configuration changes (if a product needs replacing, made some kind of improvement). The year and month on earlier units or year and week on older models.

It also tells a dealer how to identify your unit to either help get parts or fixing your unit.

Parts Kits

You can get parts kits from dealer that have all the replacement parts in it to repair your unit. Just make sure you have a tag on your unit to help your service person help you get parts or you may need a whole new unit.

The diagram show you how to identify your unit and what they mean.
