Today we will discuss:
Sundstrand Sauer Danfoss Series 20 Manifold Assy Components
System Relief Valve
The cartridges that can be taken out from the manifold to see if needs replacements. The valves are interchangeable for either side of the manifold, giving the pressure settings are the same. The first two digits of the pressure setting are stamped on the end of the valve. These are factory set and should not be disassembled.
Shuttle Valve
These valves can be taken off and looked over by taking off the two hex plugs and easing out the springs, spacers and spool. They are interchangeable and can be put on either side. When you put it back together make sure the spacers are put in between the spool and springs. Torque the plugs to 60-100 ft. lbs. The spool and manifold are paired together and can’t be acquired separately.
Charge Relief Valve
To take out the charge relief valve you will need to take out the hex plug, spring and poppet. On earlier models, you would take out the shims from the counter bore of the plug. Be careful not to scar the shims, unless your putting in new ones. Then you would have to adjust the valve settings, by shimming it again if you needed to. To put the poppet back in you will need the spring and the plug. Making sure the shims are in place in the plug (for earlier models), then torque it to 60-100-ft. lbs
