Special Purpose Grease for Bearings

Greases that have calcium, lithium, barium in them are also made for other operations than what is listed on the diagram.
Grease that has calcium in them have a smoothness to it and can handle temps up to 175 degrees. They also have water resistance properties but use slow speed for its applications.
On higher speeds and temperatures it is good to use sodium based greases. It can handle temps up to 200 degrees and don’t do so well in water.
Lithium bases can work best temperature wise at 100-200 degrees. They are water resistant, have mechanical/storage stability and use higher speeds for operations.
Grease that has barium in them posses the same qualities as the lithium. The only difference is they may stick to metal, which gives a good bond to bearing surfaces without having dry pockets.
