Variable Displacement Axial Piston Motor

The displacement of an axial piston motor or any piston motor, is decided by the distance the pistons are refashioned in the cylinder barrel.

The swashplate angle controls this distance in an axial piston motor, you will need to change the angle of the swashplate to modify the piston stroke and motor displacement.

A Large swashplate angle- the pistons have a long stroke within the cylinder barrel.

A Small swashplate angle-the pistons have a short stroke withing the cylinder barrel.

By moving the angle of the swashplate affects the motors displacement, shaft speed and torque output.
