How Smart Cylinders Are Designed Most of the smart cylinders encompass the sensing units in the body of the cylinder. By doing this it want let the sensor get crushed and it makes the unit look better. The wire leads in the cylinder are coated with a non conducting substance that can hold up to internal pressure. It has all kinds of electronic connectors that can be arranged from and around the fluid ports, depending on the design of your specific cylinder.
