Piston Cup Seal in a Single Acting Cylinder

Single acting cylinders need a mechanical medium in order to retract or extend the rod. In the diagram it shows it using an internal spring to project the rod out and air pressure to bring it back in. Also, if the arrangement of the spring and air pressure port, it could do this process in reverse. The seal in this diagram is a lip seal. This plug in is made so that it has four solenoid circuit posts and has two lengthy ground post to help give a rapid connect or disconnect mating for electrical connections.
